I didn't do anything special to get into PurdueJun 21 2006Aerospace Engineering
I didn't do anything special to get into Purdue. I filled out the application. My SATs were pretty good, so I think that's what probably did it. Good grades in high school or high SATs will get you into the engineering school, I don't know about other programs.
SAT: 1460 Female
Grades certainly helpJan 28 2006Electrical Engineering
Grades certainly help. If you're an A-B student, you're sure to get in. If you're a B-C student you'll most likely get in, but it wouldn't hurt to have some sports or clubs or something like that on your application.
SAT: 1220 Male
Getting in is simpleDec 13 2005Industrial Operations Engineering
Getting in is simple. Keep at least a B- average and score above 1000 on your SATs, you'll be accepted. If you're the 'I never study for anything and always manage an A' type, good luck, that attitude will only last so long.

Not a hard school to get into, but theDec 07 2005Engineering Department
Not a hard school to get into, but the classes are hard. It weeds out the serious students from those who dont know what they want yet. Example - freshmen engineering has somewhere aroudn 35% drop out rate.
